The Law of Attraction shows that being positive can help you achieve any goal. If you are serious about bringing about a change in your life, you need to be aware of what the Law of Attraction can do for you. As long as you believe that you can make those changes it will work for you.

The Law of Attraction is working constantly whether you are aware of it or not. Knowing what you want out of life is the first step to attaining it. If you want to lose weight, write down exactly how much weight you want to lose. Be specific- just having a vague goal of losing weight will not focus your mind to the task. You need to write down exactly how much weight you want to lose- do you need to lose 10 lbs or 75 lbs? Write your goal as though it is already achieved, for example, ‘I am so happy and grateful now that I weigh 130 lbs and feel so healthy’.

You need to read this affirmation out loud at least twice daily, and imagine yourself at your ideal weight. How will others respond to you, what will you be wearing and how will it make you feel? The more vivid you make the images in your mind, the more emotionally charged your thoughts will be and you will be sending out more powerful signals to the universe.

The key now is to stop focusing on the negative aspects of your weight. So many people make the mistake of thinking ‘I’m so fat’ or ‘I’ve got to lose weight’, which causes them to transmit this negative thought energy out to the universe. The result is that unfortunately they are attracting more of what they are focusing on- more weight problems! Every time you are tempted to feel down because of your weight, try to turn this thought into a positive; think that you are in the process of changing, and every day brings you closer to your ideal weight. Try to get into the feeling of living at your ideal weight. So many people who have successfully lost weight have said that the key moment for them was when they stopped focusing on their weight problem and instead started to look forward to the slim person they could be.

You must also believe that you deserve to lose weight. This may sound strange, but new research indicates that many people may overeat to subconsciously punish themselves as they do not feel worthy enough to have a slim, healthy body. If this is the case with you, you may need to work on your self esteem first, or talk through your feelings with a trusted friend. Believe that you deserve to be slim and feel good about yourself, and trust that you will achieve this.

Of course, just thinking about being slim won’t help you to lose weight. You will need to take action- but don’t worry. The Law of Attraction works by instructing you to take ‘inspired action’. You may get the urge to exercise, or find it much easier to resist fatty foods. By focusing on your goal as though it is already achieved, you will naturally start to adopt the habits of a slim person.
